What is the “Octopus” Tablet?

What is Octopus? Octopus is a third-party T-Mobile tablet issuer to Rideshare Drivers as a way to make about $25-150 extra per week depending on how much you drive. The official minimum rides per month to participate is 100 but you can probably get away with about 80-ish or even less. As long as the tablet detects “interaction” then your account will stay current.

The way it works is you sign up here (use my referral code!): https://account.playoctopus.com/join?referred_by=CHR3712

Then Play Octopus will send you the tablet.

Set up the Tablet in your car but don’t do what I did by overthinking it. All you have to do it velcro it over your seat like the picture above. Yes, when I got it I thought the strap was more complicated but it’s not. Make sure the software is updated by pressing the update button if there is one and then just plug the damn thing in and turn it on. If you see trivia or a similar game than it is working.

Just by signing up you will get $25 dollars!!!

Now all you have to do is drive around. Ya.

You will accumulate points whether or not people interact with the tablet, if it is at least turned on. This is a great way to boost and bolster your personal brand as a Lyft or Uber Driver too because you can put a “Driver Bio” on it and your riders can read this bio while you are giving them their ride.

The points system takes a couple hours to update… My pro tip here is that if the tablet is on and you are giving rides then the points WILL go up (Takes about 12 hours or so to display updates so it can hard to notice). There is no need to contact support to check and see. This is probably one of the easiest ways to get your earnings up while you drive for Uber or Lyft and I haven’t had any setbacks or issues so highly recommend!

Another thing I like is the system will send you an email when you get the payout of $25 dollars so it reminds you to move the money into your bank account!
