“Ignition” – First Blog Post, mylyftjournal

Hello everyone, Welcome to MyLyftJournal.  MyLyftJournal is a blog created with the intention to become an open forum for discussion to make rideshare more safe and understood by all users.  My intention for the site is to build a better understanding between rideshare passenger and rideshare driver, have safer pickups, safer drop-offs, and everything in between.  I am currently a driver for LYFT.  I drive about 30 hours a week in the Boston Metro Area.  The Boston Metro Area can be quite a challenging city/area to drive in.  It is stressful due to certain traffic codes and it’s colonial-age street and city design.  I mean come on anyone whose anyone has seen this meme:

You get the idea! Boston is a nightmare to navigate and drive in! And here I am blogging about going out and navigating and driving in it!  The irony!

I happen to believe that Boston promotes Good Drivers and Cautious Driving even though that the tourist stigma suggests that the city has nothing but bad drivers.  The city get’s a bad rep!  Damn all them Yankee Fans coming over the Berkshires! Let’s put them in Driver’s Seat!

If you were to drive in Boston for a few months, the traffic scenarios require such precaution and awareness that driving in Boston makes you a better driver.

That’s right I said it, Driving in Boston makes you a better Driver.

As I am composing this first post near the end of 2018 we have things to consider as general passengers AND drivers of Cars.  Tech websites are saying that cars will change more in the next 5 years then they have in the past 50 years.
